Paris : Louis Chlendowski, 1847 [volumes I to VI] ; Paris : Pétion, 1848 [volumes VII to XII]. - 12 volumes in-8, half dark brown morocco, spine gilt, untrimmed, cover preserved (Loisellier). First edition in bookshops. A very fine copy bound by Loisellier, complete with the covers. Ex-libris removed on the first linings. Covers lined. Freckles, a few leaves faded, light spotting not serious, more important in volume IX. Tear without missing on the last leaf of the last volume. Provenance: initials A.S.H. gilt at bottom of spines.
