PORCELAIN COFFEE CUP. ROYAL MANUFACTURE, SÈVRES, LOUIS XVIII PERIOD. Model of shape flared upwards, decorated with a rectangular polychrome scene, entitled "The rooster, the cat and the mouse" illustrating one of the fables of La Fontaine, and on the reverse side appear two cartouches in grisaille, representing a cat playing with a mouse and a family of mice in the courtyard of a farm, on a background of arabesques, garlands of laurel, surmounted by a lyre and a head of hermes, on an orange background, gold interior. Small restoration on the border, but good general condition. Marks on the reverse: blue: L (Louis XVIII) Sèvres; gold: MR QZ, February 1st. H.: 7 cm - Diam.: 7 cm
