Trained in drawing and watercolour from an early age by her painter father, a pupil of Othon Friesz at the Academy
Academy of Paris, Monique Jorgensen, of Danish origin, has devoted her life to painting the most beautiful monuments of
of the Ile de France and the old Paris she has walked since her birth. She exhibited at Bernheim jeune, at Druet
and at Braun between the two wars. These poetic and melancholic representations of old facades worn by
have always seduced the most refined collectors, such as Pierre Le-Tan.
