This drawing belongs to the series known as the Centaurs, fauns and satyrs, and should be compared, among others, with two other sheets on the same subject but with different compositions : One preserved in the Fabre Museum in Montpellier (inv.864.2.864), the other in the Metropolitan Museum in New-York (inv. 37.165.57).
