Pen and brown ink wash for one and pen for the other. Bear ancient inscriptions: For one: Alcina invita i paladini a veder la balena 23 For the other: Callotti 9 x 12,1 cm and 8,5 x 12 cm (irregular) - 31/2 x 43/4 and 33/8 x 43/4 in. (irregular shape) These two drawings can be compared with the one in the National Gallery in Washington depicting Roland and the thieves (ref. 2004.140.1) of comparable dimensions and old annotations.
