SAVED SOUL after GIOVANNI LORENZO BERNINI known as LE BERNIN (1598-1680) 17th century Sculpture in pavonazzetto marble Total height : 56 cm The young woman is represented in bust form, her head raised and her gaze towards the sky. Her hair is composed of long wavy locks tied at the back and topped with a crown of flowers. Bernini's original work is the counterpart of the Damned Soul, both of which are kept in the Spanish Palace. (fig. 1 and 2).
