Pair (2) of butter lamps with their lids, presumed to be silver (low-title) repoussé. The bowl is connected to a lantsa pedestal by a jivana kalasa (tze-bum) shaped element, supposed to contain amrita (immortality liquor). The surface is richly engraved with auspicious symbols, scrolls and lotus flowers. Four ornaments decorated with turquoise and red stones fall from the jivana kalasa. TIBET, 19th century.
