An exceptional painted wooden panel,
This motif of a vase of imaginary flowers in delicate colours and framed with geometric patterns from the Nasrid culture was used to decorate the doors and shutters of the sumptuous homes and palaces of Morocco. It is similar to the work reproduced on page 254 of the book by André Paccard, Morocco and traditional crafts, and belonging to the Royal Palace of Marrakech.
Rare. Minor wear, missing. The knob of the handle may not be the original one.
