This model of sconces decorated with a bearded face of a satyr, is listed under various variants, some with gadroon decoration, with two or three arms of light.
The Carnavalet museum keeps a pair of sconces with two lights coming from the Henriette Bouvier legacy, which was exhibited at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in 1960 in Paris, Louis XIV, Fastes et décors, n°202-203 and illustrated in Connaissance des Arts, Le XVIIème siècle, Paris, 1958 , p.118.
