The love story of Renaud and Armide is told between songs XIV and XX of the epic poem, religious and courtly novel "Jerusalem Delivered" by the poet Torquato TASSO, known as Le Tasse, relating the fighting between Christians and pagans during the first Crusade (1096-1099).
This passage is told in the XVIth song of the poem.
