Symphonion music cabinet from the Wilhelminian period, Leipzig around 1890, solid walnut and veneer, elegant gallery, beautiful crowning with decorative knobs, scale frieze and stepped lower section. The fold-out lower section contains a further 20 perforated panels (diameter 62 cm). A rolled-up spring is wound up by means of a crank. The automatic mechanism is activated by inserting a 5 pfennig coin. A rotating regulator controls the speed of rotation. The plate is driven by the perforated band around the plate. Height 247 x 88 x 52 cm. The mechanism is fully functional, the cabinet is in good condition with age-related sings of wear.
