MIR-SARABEND carpet (Iran), middle 2nd third of the 20th century
Dimensions : 160 x 70cm.
Technical characteristics : wool velvet on a cotton foundation.
A brick field with sowing of vegetal botehs is framed by an ivory border with garlands of reddish botehs, in undulation. Two counter borders with chess pieces, anthracite and sky, in positive/negative complete the set. Highlighting with dotted lines. Beautiful composition.
