SINKIANG carpet (Central Asia), 2nd third of the 20th century
Dimensions : 282 x 198cm.
Technical characteristics : Wool velvet on a cotton foundation.
A jagged brick field, with polychrome stylized plant and animal decoration supports a hexagonal gem medallion, ivory and sky, with a cruciform flower heart and decorated with flowering branches. Six multicolored borders with various flowers frame the main ivory border with a succession of leaves and starry flowers.
