This gouache is undated and its dating is not obvious. It can be linked to Yves Klein's membership of the Order of the Archers of Saint Sebastian. He was knighted in 1956 and took as his motto "I espouse the cause of pure colour". It was in knight's clothing and accompanied by the other knights, sword in hand, that Yves Klein got married in 1962.
