The rectangular reddish veined marble base is set in a low black stone frame, on top of which is the magnificent bull stretching upwards on its hind feet. The burnished bronze bull in lifelike form with small head with horns, the tail tassel carefully resting on the back. Strong hair visible between the horns. Small chip on the base.

Among the most famous bull sculptures is that made by Giovanni da Bologna (1529-1608) in 1573 for Grand Duke Cosimo I de Medici, now kept in the National Museum "Bargello" in Florence. (1281501) (18)
