Height: 83 cm. Width: 82 cm. Depth: 48 cm. Right front frame stamped: "F. RUBESTUCK" for François Rübestück (1722-1785, master from 1766), as well as the strike stamp JME for JURES MENUISIERS-EBENISTES (guild stamp). Paris, ca. 1740. On four elegantly curved legs the two-panelled, three-sided cambered and richly inlaid oak corpus sans traverse. Lavishly veneered in rosewood and many others, inlaid and partially fire shaded. Rich, partly open-worked bronze trimming, fire-gilded. The central field richly decorated with a flower bowl from which various types of flowers spring. Remains of colouring. The feet with fine sabots. Finishing old, probably original marble plate in rouge griotte. Rest, added, age damage. Plate damaged. Old solid iron locks. (†) Literature: Cf.
