LA REUNION - "MAP OF THE ISLAND OF REUNION, BY BORY DE ST VINCENT, Staff Officer, to serve for his Journey in four islands of the SEAS of AFRICA; dedicated to his Excellency the Marshal BERTHIER, Minister of War", drawn by BORY DE ST VINCENT and engraved by Blondeau, engraver of the war depot. 1804. Buisson. Margins. Folded. Bory de St-Vincent made a geographical reconnaissance voyage aboard the corvette Le Géographe. He resided first on the Island of France and then on Reunion Island from August 12 to December 5, 1801 before returning to France. In 1804, he published the report of his stay under the title "Voyage dans les quatre principales îles des mer d'Afrique, Fait par ordre du gouvernement pendant les années neuf et dix de la République (1801-1802)" printed by F.
