Important and rare mask carved in a mushroom, probably of the amadouvier type.
Height: 22.8 cm. Width: 37 cm.
NOTE: The tinderbox is a parasite that grows especially on the birch tree, which is a tree much venerated by many cultures with a shamanic tradition, as it is supposed to house deities or divine beings in itself (e.g. "tree goddesses").
The mushroom mask is therefore considered a protective element, whether worn or kept in the home.
