A celadon and russet jade carving of a mythical beast. 18th/19th century
Posed seated on his haunches with the curled tail swept against his left haunch, his raised head inclined slightly to the right, his face with a good-natured expression with flaring nostrils and large rounded eyes beneath bushy eyebrows and curled ears. The celadon stone heighted with russet patches along the back, tail and one haunch.
