Ten painted enamel small square ceremonial wine cups. Canton. 18th century
All with indented corners and painted in the colours of famille rose with figures in a landscape, three with the same motif, two each with the same motiv and one displaying a landscape. Four cups with the same poem and signed with two seals. On cup restored to the inside, one cup with cracks.
Height 3.3 cm; width 4.7 cm
Provenance
Private collection, Hesse, from the estate of the founding family of Farbwerke Hoechst, assembled in the first half of the 20th century, thence in the family by descent
