A very large Cambodian sandstone head of Shiva. 10th century or later The massive squarish head with a diadem and braided hair covering head and mukuta, with a large third eye on the forehead, stylized and elegantly curved brows and large eyes with circular eye pupils. The nose and upper lip restored and generally reworked. Mounted on a wooden stand. Height 54 cm Provenance Private collection, Rhineland
