Zerrouki is an Algerian painter, set designer, born in 1944 in Mostaganem. He studied at the National School of Fine Arts in Algiers between 1964 and 1970 and became a member of the group of 35 painters. In 1973, he realizes, in margin of a seminar directed by Abdelkader Alloula, a collective fresco for the school of the village of Maamora, in the wilaya of Saïda, with Khadda, Denis Martinez and Mohamed Benbaghdad.
Decorator of the theater of Oran and Algerian television, he realizes the sets and costumes of about forty plays. In 1986, he won the First Grand Prize of the Algiers Professional Theatre Festival.
