Known as the Woodcarver of Venice, Livio de Marchi, born in 1943, is a prolific artist known worldwide for his creativity and dexterity.
His main inspiration: everyday objects, what surrounds him and fascinates him; from paintbrushes to Italian ice, to books.
Among his most outstanding creations: the book houses, whose furniture is entirely made of carved wood imitating stacked books, of which we present an armchair and a desk.
As well as his cars: all made of wood, made in real size, they don't run... they sail on the canals of Venice! Video demonstration to see absolutely: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkTaFV6-b0k
The pieces we are presenting in this sale are all unique and reflect the favourite subjects of this exceptionally inventive and talented artist.
