The complete collection - [PROUDHON] - "Le Peuple de 1850". No. 1 to 33 - followed by some issues of the newspaper "La République" (No. 290, 297, 307, 314, 321, 328, 335, 339, 342, 349 and 364). Paris, from June 15 to October 13, 1850 (1849 for "La République"), 44 issues bound in 1 vol. in-folio, green half cloth (worn binding, scattered russets, 1 article of "La République" cut out). Rare complete collection of the newspaper "Le Peuple de 1850". One handwritten letter relating to the resurrection of the former Journal du Peuple, dated "Paris, June 25, 1847" and signed by one of the editors of Le Peuple (1 f. 8°, stained with important lack but without loss of text) is enclosed. Pierre-Joseph Proudhon's career was largely marked by the world of printing and publishing. "Le Peuple de 1850" was financed by montagnards grouped around Michel de Bourges. Although Proudhon wrote a few articles, he was in fact absent from this paper, which barely reached thirty issues.
