Arabic manuscript of 307 leaves on beige paper, calligraphed in delicate and regular black "naskh" on 15 lines per page, opening with a beautiful double illuminated frontispiece. The beginning of each sura is preceded by an untitled gilt cartouche. Numerous marginal illuminations adorn the pages of the Qur'an, the verses are separated by illuminated pastilles. The titles of the suras and the inscriptions on the double frontispiece at the beginning are missing.
Colophon signed Al-Sayed 'Ali al-Khulusi, a pupil of Al-Hajj Mustapha, and dated 1279H.
Beautiful morocco flap binding with gilt vegetal decoration, with case.
