Persian manuscript on paper, 381 leaves, calligraphied in black cursive in two columns and 19 lines per page, with numerous annotations in nasta'liq and the margins, including five frontispieces illuminated in lapis blue and gold, the titles in red, and marginal floral illuminations in gold.
The colophon indicates the name of the copyist, the year and the place: Dâr al-'Amân in Isfahan, at the school of Al-Sharifah in al-'Abdyat, Friday 22 Shawwâl 846H. by Mahmud b. Muabarakshah b. Mahmud Abu Al-Fath Al-Tâwsy 846H (=1442 A.D.). Worn flap binding.
