Jacques Callot (1592-1635) -La Noblesse - Man wrapped in fur-trimmed cape / Description: Standing man, slightly turned to left, with plumed hat, wrapped in fur-trimmed cape; town and bridge spanning over a river crossed in the background. La Noblesse is a series of twelve etchings showing the constumes of lords and ladies of Lorraine from the time of callot. Bouchot wrote that callot and his friends parade. M. Bruaert wrote 'of the family of Callot' and Lieure confirms it is almost certain that Callot included himself, his wife, his older brother and his sister in the series. / Dimensions: 14,20 x 9,20 cm Very good early impression on fine laid paper with fragment of a watermark. Full plate border and tread margins.
