Rare porcelain snuffbox in the form of a closed lotus bud, a decoration of scrolls in pink family on a turquoise and gold background. A turquoise enamelled Qianlong mark in square under the base. Carved coral stopper. Stopper disassociated from the spoon.
Parallels : Although the model presented is later, the shape of this snuffbox is similar to plates 306 and 307 pages 196/197, " The Complete Collection of Treasures of the Palace Museum " Snuff bottles. Published in 2003.
