First edition: rare, it is quoted by Godard de Beauchamps in his Recherches sur les théâtres de France, 1735, t. III, p. 168. It is dedicated to Count Antoine d'Oldenbourg.
Relation of a brilliant carousel on the theme of colours given in Copenhagen by the royal family in 1671.
This party was proposed by King Christian V during an evening where the conversation had begun on the preferences of colours.
The author, who was there at the time, describes the decorations that were displayed for the occasion, the rich costumes worn by the participants, the ring races, the games, and transcribes in full the Cartel of deffi to all who should protect the colours proclaimed during a ball and the four poetic manifestos in favour of the colours that were read during the party.
