A pupil of Vittorio Cavalleri, Lupo devoted himself to Alpine landscapes, particularly of the Aosta Valley but also lagoon views with hints, at times, of a Ciardian flavour, alongside which one can find still lifes, figures and portraits. The subjects are defined by a consistent material texture, which distinguishes the painter's style, illuminated by the superimposition of large backgrounds, which gradually develop into small concentrated touches of pungent luminosity.
