César Baldaccini, known as César, is a French sculptor born in Marseille. He is one of the founding members of the New Realists movement born in 1960. He is also the creator of the bronze trophy of the César ceremony of French cinema. He works on series of compressions, expansions and human imprints. His career is international and he is exhibited in many French museums.
