The Char of BACCHUS. Important L. XVI style mantelpiece in finely chased gilt bronze, skeleton movement, comprising a clock featuring a barrel with three children harvesters, white marble base with cartouche carved with Bacchus heads and arabesques, a pair of gilt bronze candelabras featuring two children holding two arms of light in the shape of horns of plenty with grapes, white marble bases decorated with bronze cartouches. Bud-shaped feet. After Claude Michel dit CLODION. Signed. 45 x 42 x 12 cm. Early 20th century. (Clockwork not guaranteed).
