LYON. Pewter pitcher, truncated cone with cylindrical base, quarter round cup and molded poucier with rampant tongue. Mark of François CARMOUCHE received master around 1680: crowned fly / F.C. Control mark: C crowned / L(YON) / 1691. Marks of gauging: 1°- crowned weapons of France. 2°- arms of Lyon. 3°- Initials I.T in a round cartouche of Jean Tisseur named controller gaugeur in 1682. Between 1691 and 1694. The punch of control immediately posterior to that of 1691 is that of 1694. Height : 16,9 cm. 16,9 cm. Superb measure abundantly punched as we can see only very rarely and of medieval inspiration sought.
