Note: Chryselephantine, from Greec: "chrysos" (gold), and: "elephantinos", (ivory), is a figure of which the body is ivory and the drapes of gold. These were made in Egypt, Mesopotamia, and Crete from the 6th century BCE and were imitated in the early 20th century.
