On the front, a typewritten text repeats "I GOT UP AT" in a mechanical way, with two stamps: the first applied by the artist himself indicates the place, date and time of his awakening, the second affixed by the post office indicates the date and place of sending the card to its recipient. On the reverse side views of New York City.

31 kleurenbriefkaarten uit de serie "I GOT UP AT" gedateerd tussen 1 januari en 31 januari 1972, dagelijks gericht aan de kunsthistoricus Gérard Durozoi uit New York. Op de voorzijde herhaalt een getypte tekst op mechanische wijze "I GOT UP AT", met twee stempels: de eerste, aangebracht door de kunstenaar zelf, geeft de plaats, datum en tijd van zijn ontwaken aan, de tweede, aangebracht door het postkantoor, geeft de datum en plaats aan waar de kaart naar de geadresseerde werd gestuurd.
