Souze : red half-chagrin, boards decorated with large gilt floral plates depicting feluccas in arabic frames, spines gilt and gilt (white endpapers heavily spotted, a little less so the false titles and the last pages of the table, corners dulled or even bare, head and spine rubbed...). First edition of the translation illustrated with a coloured map and numerous black compositions in texto or on full page illustrating daily life in towns and villages, history and ancient Egypt, modern Egypt, etc. The two volumes could be sold separately. Beautiful iconography by various artists (W. Gentz, Chris Huber, R. Brend'amour...).
