Schenk ca. 1700] Engr, 48,5 x 85 cm, old hand-coloured (sl. toned, some foldings and central folding part. split, some repairs). Framed (not studied outside frame). Map of the Mediterranean Sea extending from the Straits of Gibraltar to Cypress and Haifa. This is one of the first Sanson maps that were finished by December 1696 and for which both Gerard Valck and Petrus Schenck the elder had the permission to print. Ref. Koeman, G. & L. Valck 52.
