DE GEYNST, Robert Stammering. - The young dead woman. Brussels "Éditions du 27 janvier, 55 rue de Courtrai" [E.L.T. Mesens] n.d. Set of 2 postcards in b/w. Cards representing collages, "domiciled at the address of E.L.T. Mesens [...]. The "27 January" obviously refers to the tract of the French surrealists, written by Artaud: Déclaration du 27 janvier 1925" (Mariën). Note a variant: some cards bear the title "Balbutiement local". Robert De Geynst (1899-1972) was a great friend of Odilon-Jean Périer with whom he wrote the "Livrets"; he was a journalist at the "Soir" between 1925 and 1972. Ref. Mariën, L'activité surr. en Belgique, p. 98 with reproduction.
