First edition of this often republished work, in which the Romanian philosopher Cioran (1911-1995) expresses his opinions concerning the absurdity of the human condition. No large papers. Ex. of the s.p. Autogr. letter signed to Christian Bussy, "bien cordialement Paris le 16 nov. 1973". That same year, Christian Bussy made a rare filmed literary interview with the philosopher, "E.M. Cioran, marginal absolu" (cf. SONUMA, audiovisual archives of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation of Belgium). Prov.
