A World War II date national flag of Belgium (measuring 108 x 52''), the tricolour consisting of three equal vertical bands displaying the national colours of Belgium: black, yellow and red. Signed by Baron Cartier de Marchienne in black ink to the yellow panel, 'E de Cartier, Belgian Ambassador to the Court of St. James'. Accompanied by a partially printed oblong 4to card stating that the flag was presented to the United Nations Senior Youth Federation by the ambassador and that 'to the gracious courtesy of the distinguished donor of this historic and priceless gift must ever be extended the deep and sincere gratitude and thanks of all'.
