Hubert MENNE (1920-2015) "La Cité embrasée", gouache and wax on cardboard, signed lower left. Height. 60 cm. Length 74 cm. After having worked in the wine trade, alongside his father, Hubert MENNE-CHARRIERE joined, by passion, the workshop of creations of jewels and religious art of Dominique Piéchaud, sculptor, at 117 Rue du Palais Gallien. In 1965, at the same address, he founded the CENTRE DE FORMATION ARTISTIQUE which received and trained up to 110 young artists until 1990. In 1967, he published a "History of Architecture" at "Editions Eyrolles".
