Naval officer's flintlock pistol type 1779, so-called "à tête de chien de mer", iron barrel, signed: "DESAGA À Tulle", calibre 15 mm; round-bodied lock signed: "PEUHC À TULLE" (Peuch), swan-necked hammer; iron fittings, with belt hook; walnut stock, carved and finished with a head of a dogfish whose eyes are silver; iron ramrod; length 25 cm. (Rod changed). Late 18th century, early 19th century. Good condition. PEUCH, harquebusier in Tulle, around 1780 and 1800/1810, he usually worked with DESAGA.
