Milking flintlock or half-buckler rifle, round barrel, with two hallmarks and, in the middle, the number: "22", length 113.5 cm, caliber 15.5 mm; rustic, primitive, flat-bodied lock, bearing three hallmarks: "C H C", a fleur-de-lys and a small anchor, swan-necked hammer, bassoon without flange; brass fittings, the counterplate is hallmarked, like the lock, with a fleur-de-lys and a small anchor, the trigger guard is fitted with an iron ring; dark walnut stock, adorned with brass nails, it bears a mark with a large naval anchor, and, on the other side, the number: "814"; blackened wood ramrod; overall length 1.54 m. (Stock with some pitting, old repairs to the grip; later ramrod).
Late 18th, early 19th century. Piece in its juice rather oxidized.
