Very strong and curious flintlock rifle called "de hune", huge iron barrel, octagonal throughout, fully engraved in depth, at thunder and in the middle, on the three upper sides and, throughout, on the upper side, with foliage and an inscription: "FURIUES JE SUIES MAIES SANS FEU JE NE PUIS - 1589", it is hallmarked twice with a crown and an unidentified square mark; length 146.5 cm, caliber 19 mm; military lock circa 1760, flat-bodied, hallmarked: "S. E. B." surmounted by a crown and signed: "CARRIER. E"; iron fittings, also of military type, trigger guard equipped with a ring; walnut stock; wooden ramrod finished with an iron pastille; total length 1,86 m. (Barrel restored, piece not dismantled).
Mid 18th century, mounted with a late 16th century barrel. Good condition.
