Small in-8, bradel green half-maroquin with corners, spine decorated throughout, untrimmed, illustrated cover preserved (Carayon).
First edition, given by Hetzel as part of his Petit tableau de Paris (see also n° 11 of the catalogue, Balzac. Paris marié) and first printing of Bertall's illustration, consisting of a frontispiece reproduced on the cover and 120 amusing woodcut vignettes in the text.
