Great Warrior Standing tall on his powerful legs, this warrior is protected by a cylindrical armor that surrounds his chest. It is decorated with finement engraved rhombuses. He holds a staff in front of him, ready to defend himself. The face with its open mouth reveals the teeth and tongue giving an extremely lively impression to the sculpture. He is adorned with earrings and a truncated cone-shaped headdress ending in two horns. These sculptures were found in the well tombs and had the function of protecting the deceased during his journey into the underworld. Broken and glued back together. Restoration on the hands, the stick, on the right of the bust and on the left as well as on the feet. Brown terracotta with red-brown slip. Important traces of manga-nese oxides.
