Original second edition, published in the series of "Œuvres complètes de Maurice Barrès" in the in-8 format. The original first edition, much more common, was published on esparto paper in the format in-18. 1 of 100 copies on Japon paper (n° 133), second paper after 50 copies on chine . - THE INK STAINS. MONTHLY GAZETTE. [Paris], November 5, 1884-February 1885. - 4 issues in one volume in-18, white half parchment, smooth spine, speckled edges, covers preserved (period binding). Complete collection of this ephemeral review written by Maurice Barrès, consisting of only 4 issues published between November 5, 1884 and February 1885 . The cover of the second issue has the ink stains made by Barrès. Several subscription sheets for the gazette, advertisements for the European bookshop and pages of columns entitled "Le Mouvement littéraire contemporain" and "Bulletin financier" are found together at the end. Some soiling to the binding. On the first endpaper has been pasted a piece of envelope with the letterhead of the journal, bearing the handwritten name of the subscriber, namely Mr. Alexandre Tausserat living 2 rue de Fleurus in Paris.
