[Psycho-somatics - Statistics - Applied psychology - Logical operations - Automatism] All these 5 volumes deal with rather heterogeneous subjects. 3 of these volumes were published by the Presses Universitaires de France. The first of these three is entitled "L'investigation psycho-somatique". Throughout the book, we follow Adèle G, Gisèle W, Eugène E, Lucie H, Gilbert C, Juliette F and Robert B, 7 patients. These clinical observations, described in great detail, allow us to get to the heart of the psychoanalytical and psychiatric process and to become one with the practitioner. Moreover, the notes of the therapists in front of the various reactions and answers of the patients are rich in teachings. Good work to discover by experience the universe of psychoses. The second volume is a collection of "Statistical Methods in Applied Psychology". This unique second volume, dated 1954, dwells on statistical considerations such as correlation coefficients, factorial analysis, sets of matched and independent groups... All these considerations are brought under the new light of Psychology and prognosis. Beautiful study combining mathematics, statistics and psychology. 3 tables illustrate and simplify the understanding of the reader. The third is a copy of the "Essays on the transformations of logical operations". This work by Jean PIAGET is about the 256 ternary operations of the bivalent logic of propositions. It is once again about mathematical and statistical reflections on the theme of psychiatry. Within the book one can find the "Catalogue des Nouveautés" of the Presses Universitaires de France for the year 1952. A copy of "L'automatisme psychologique, Essai de psychologie expérimentale sur les formes inférieures de l'activité humaine" is also present in this lot. Written by Doctor Pierre JANET, member of the Institute and professor of Psychology at the Collège de France, this tenth edition dated 1930, deals with Logical Automatism. This book has been a huge success since its publication in 1889 and demonstrates for the first time, and before FREUD, the existence of an Unconscious. Moreover, it is the first time that a specialist explains that the recall to consciousness of an event immersed in the Unconscious can have a curative effect. Exemplary of one of the greatest synthesis of the human mind made by a human mind. The last element of this lot is a book by F. LONGEOT entitled "Differential psychology and operative theory of intelligence". In this book, two hitherto independent and even sometimes opposed perspectives are brought together. The factorial conception and the operative conception of the intellectual development of children is highlighted here. These concepts, highlighted from a theoretical point of view. Original book by the rapprochement it makes between the two analyses of child psychology, genetic psychology and differential psychology. Nice copy. Very good set gathering a lot of technical works on the brain, psychiatry and psychoanalysis. Through theoretical considerations, one can better understand the foundations of these disciplines, sometimes obscure. This set includes 5 books.
