Psychoses, Neuroses and Theory [Pastoral Psychiatry - Imbalance - Automatism - Avoidable Psychoses - Borderline States - Social Phobias] This set contains 9 different books. The first is a superb copy of "L'automatisme psychologique, Essai de psychologie expérimentale sur les formes inférieures de l'activité humaine". Written by Doctor Pierre JANET, member of the Institute and professor of Psychology at the Collège de France, this tenth edition dated 1930, deals with Logical Automatism. This book has been a huge success since its first publication in 1889 and demonstrates for the first time, and before FREUD, the existence of an Unconscious. Moreover, it is the first time that a specialist explains that the recall to consciousness of an event immersed in the Unconscious can have a curative effect. A copy of one of the greatest synthesis of the human mind made by a human mind. A copy of the "Pastoral Psychiatry" is also present in this lot. This moral and therapeutic psychopathology is a fairly well-known treatise. The scientific accuracy of the author and his concern to take into account all the psychic factors and pastoral aims are remarkable. These qualities are notably visible in very good passages such as Religion and Neurosis (p. 44) or on Sickness and Sin (p. 46). The language used, simple and devoid of technical terms, requires no special initiation. This is a good book for the general public, but also for professionals. Two books deal more directly with psychoses. Thus "Les psychoses évitables" by Marcel NATHAN and "L'homme et sa psychose" by Gisela PANKOW are two good works on the subject. In the first book, the author gives advice to practitioners, parents and doctors, to avoid the birth of psychoses. This kind of treatise of "well being", enjoins us not to "doubt ourselves", to have a positive vision and not to sink into excessive fears. A nice approach, less reparative and more anticipatory. The second book focuses on both therapeutic and theoretical fields. The analytical techniques that the author exposes represent a broadening of the field of classical psychoanalysis. She deals with the different psychoses and the relationship they have with the patient. Brilliant study. A small booklet is also included. This copy of "Le syndrome de carence sensori-affective" is the summary of a communication presented by the psychotherapist and sex therapist Évelyne TUBIANA at the First World Congress "Handicap et sexualité" of 1980. In this speech, the specialist speaks about this syndrome and explains its foundations as well as its possible treatments. A nice little analysis of popularization, easy to read. A volume entitled "le déséquilibre psychique, Ses psychose - Sa morale" is also present in this lot. This writing of Doctor J. BOREL, published by the Presses Universitaires de France, is divided into three parts: The psychic imbalance, the psychoses of the psychic imbalance and the morals of the psychic imbalance. Published in memory of Professor LÉVY VALENSI, the book reviews these imbalances, focusing on their psychotic and moral characteristics. A study of the "borderline states", carried out by 6 experts, completes the set. This study of the limits which separate the psychopathological categories, which distinguish the components of the psychic personality and which mark out the territory of the treatment of the soul make it possible at the same time to determine the original personalities which result from it and to understand the theoretical and practical uncertainty resulting from this idea of limit. This beautiful study at the frontier of the psyche plunges us into a little known part of human psychology. A copy published by the Presses Universitaires de France is also present. Entitled "Hunger and the body", this study sifts through the analyses of anorexia nervosa which affects many young people. The authors thus manage to establish a coherent psychoanalytical doctrine that accounts for the particularities and psychic disorders of adolescents. Original hypotheses are also formulated on metapsychological concepts such as the death instinct, which thus appears as an avatar of the life instinct... Nice copy with a nice preface by Serge LEBOVICI. Finally, the last item of this lot is a book entitled "Phobias sociales" written under the direction of Thérèse LEMPERIÈRE. The objective of this book is to
