[Physiology - Morality - Psychoanalytical theory - Psychological automatism] This set consists of three works dealing with human thought, whether in a physiological, psychological or psychoanalytical way. The first copy of this set is a booklet entitled "Physiological considerations on the moral man". This introduction to the study of passions is the thesis of J. B. Auguste MÉPLAIN, dated 1817. He returns here to the ancient theory of the passions, resurgent with ESQUIROL's 1805 thesis on the passions and ALIBERT's famous work on the passions from a psycho-pathological point of view. The author distinguishes himself from his contemporaries by a base of animal experiments. In this, this work is essential to the history of the new experimental medicine. A very good copy. The second volume of this set is a book entitled "L'automatisme psychologique" by Pierre JANET. This copy, subtitled "Essai de psychologie expérimentale sur les formes inférieures de l'activité humaine" written by the member of the Institute and professor of Psychology at the Collège de France is the ninth edition of this writing dated 1921. This book has been a huge success since it was first published in 1889 and demonstrates for the first time, and before FREUD, the existence of an Unconscious. Moreover, it is the first time that a specialist explains that the recall to consciousness of an event immersed in the Unconscious can have a curative effect. A copy of one of the greatest synthesis of the human mind made by a human mind. Beautiful copy with detached boards. Handwritten bookplate: "Henriette Gast December 1921". The last item of this set is a work by C. G. JUNG dated 1918. This copy in German of "Versuch einer Darstellung der Psychoanalytischen Theorie", taken from a series of lectures given by the author in the United States in 1912, develops JUNG's theories and explicitly puts forward his differences with FREUD. In the course of this work, the rupture is consummated, notably on sexual considerations. This writing was the founder of Analytical Psychology, strongly distinguishing itself from FREUD's psychoanalysis. A fine copy, despite the damp stains and the taped cover. Bookplate on the cover: "V Fritz Regensburger 1913". REGENSBURGER was a famous German jurist. Good set on theories of human thought. This looks at various theories, some of which are truly avant-garde. This lot includes 3 books.
